Gallipolis City Manager Dow Saunders, who came out of retirement in 2021 to help his beloved city, has passed away.

GALLIPOLIS, Ohio (WV News) — Dow Saunders, who came out of retirement to serve as Gallipolis' city manager in 2021, has passed away, city officials confirmed Tuesday.

"We regret to announce that our City Manager, Dow W. Saunders, passed away Monday, April 22, 2024. Dow loved the City of Gallipolis and strived to continue to bring the City forward.
